California Living

In my humble opinion the Central Valley is the most beautiful place in California.  You have all sorts of agriculture, the weather is nice and it is so colorful with flowers, shrubs and trees.  After living in Las Vegas for almost fifteen years I really appreciate it here all the more.  This morning I picked oranges off of our tree again and just see how pretty they are...

Yummy!

The other day I posted a picture of some mystery vegetation coming up in the yard.  I took another picture of the same spot this morning for comparison.  Here they are...

This is the first picture I took.  Just a little bit of dark reddish vegetation coming up through the dirt.

And this is the one I took this morning.  There is a little bit of green showing on the tips now.
It will be fun to discover what this turns out to be.

I  planted some geraniums and lavender in the front yard.  I'm trying to get some color in the yard and I have a soft spot in my heart for geraniums.  I'm sure I will be adding more geraniums and spring progresses.

And in the back yard I added a Creeping Myrtle...

I love all of the pictures moms. Even though we are many miles away, I feel like we are just a picture a part from one another with your new blog.

Okay first, these oranges look amazing. I have been on an orange kick (my mouth is watering just thinking about it).

Next, I am very curious to see what is going to bloom in that area. Is it in the front or back yard?

Finally, I love all the flowers and plants you planted. They are so pretty. I can't wait to see follow-up pics.

I miss you and love you so much. We will have to chit chat later on. Hugs and kisses!

Hi Bethie, the mystery spot is on the side of the house. It is the north side so there is lots of shade. I'm glad you like the pictures. I'm having fun taking them. I miss you too and love you muches. I will be posting a blog soon with pictures of my scraptuary. I got a tuff shed building in the back yard!!! It's just for my crafting...

It all looks so great. You know those oranges would cost you like $10 here in Vegas! =)
